Our Ruth First Girls enthusiastically participated in Jeppe Girls historic 95th Annual Flower Show which was held in honour of our late headmistress, Miss Dina Goncalves. The Flower Show is an event that is much anticipated in the Jeppe family, and the greater community, and our Ruthies love this time of the year!
Here is what a few of them had to say:
Keabetswe Mokgatla (Grade 11) – ‘What I love about the Flower Show is that we get to express ourselves in a different way creatively.’
Favor Onyekwere (Grade 11) – ‘The best part for me is the community spirit. Flower Show brings us all together. It takes teamwork and we get to fill the school with beauty.
Mbali Blaai (Grade 11) – ‘I enjoy using my creativity through flower arrangement, and that I get to do it with my friends makes it extra-special.’
Rihannah Sonyelwa (Grade 9) – ‘I love that our arrangements are donated to old-age homes and children’s homes afterwards. We get to share our joy.’
The Flower Show was always Ms. Goncalves favourite day and she would have been proud of the turnout this year!
