It is with deep gratitude and admiration that we bid farewell to our Vice-Chairperson, Christina Notununu, as she enters a well-earned retirement, not only from her professional life, but also from her role on our Board of Trustees.

From the very inception of the Trust, she has been a steadfast presence—bringing a wealth of wisdom, unwavering commitment, and a servant-hearted leadership that has shaped who we are today. As a seasoned educationalist, former Principal of Eastgate Primary, Director for Educational Support at the GDE, and a Jeppe parent and governor, she has brought an extraordinary depth of insight and experience to our work.

Her tireless advocacy for high-quality education for all girls, regardless of circumstance, has been a guiding light. She defended the very concept of the Trust within the GDE with courage and conviction, ensuring our mission was understood, respected, and supported. Her voice—always thoughtful, humble, and wise—has been a source of steady guidance and clarity in complex times.

It has been a privilege to serve alongside someone whose leadership is rooted in service to others, and whose dedication to the education and wellbeing of children has left a lasting impact far beyond our Boardroom.

We thank her sincerely for all she has given, and we wish her the very best as she begins this new chapter.

With heartfelt appreciation,
