Ruthies are exposed to 21st Century Careers at Investec's Developing Tech Talent event.

Investec invited eight of the top Physics and Mathematics learners at Jeppe High School for Girls to their Developing Tech Talent event. Three Ruth First scholarship recipients received these exclusive invitations! Sierra Mudangwe (RF2022) and Hope Koho (RF2020) share their experiences of the mind-expanding day:

"Learning and being able to experience the work environment in Investec and the working world in general was incredibly insightful. I learnt a great deal about the technology industry, the opportunities that are available in this industry and the role it plays in almost every industry. This was especially helpful as I wish to take up a career in the tech industry. I was able to interact with other girls in the Robot Revolution where we came together as team, built robots and obstacle courses while overcoming the challenges that came with this task. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and would love to participate in more like this." - Sierra Mudangwe (RF2022)

"Attending the 'Developing Tech Talent' event at Investec was an inspiring experience. I had the opportunity to learn about various STEM fields through informative sessions. The highlight of my day was the hands-on activity of building robots, which captivated my interest. Witnessing the accomplishments of women in STEM left me feeling empowered and motivated. The event emphasized the limitless possibilities in these fields, regardless of gender. Overall, it was a memorable and impactful experience that deepened my passion for technology and its transformative potential." - Hope Koho (RF2020)

Thank you for your ongoing support.
